First time to Edinburgh and we stumbled across this Gem. Affordable food, fantastic service, and the food is great. Perfect for a quick snack or a nice big breakfast. It's nice to find somewhere that breaks away from the pretentious 20 a fry up for 1 bacon, 1 egg, mushroom toast and some f*ckin parsley ontop. Go In and get ya grease on. You won't regret it.
The staff are great and really friendly! We came here for the Scottish breakfast and it was delicious, tattie scones were on point! If you’re after a proper Scottish breakfast definitely try out this cafe.
Can't go wrong with this place. Great little cafe. Nice cup of tea and introduced to Lorne sausage!. Served by the lovely cheerful lady behind the counter.
Absolutely incredible, one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. I’ve been travelling alone for a bit now and it made me feel like I was back at Mums having some home cooking for the first time in a long time.
Just had the best experience with the two ladies in this wee cafe I stopped by for a quick bite on the go they couldn't be any nicer. They were so cheery and helpful the food was fresh delicious and they were very accommodating and the price per portion was generous I will be back thanks very much !!!
This is a PROPER cafe. No frills; just honest, tasty grub. Wonderful, friendly service too with ladies who instantly make you feel like you’re part of the family.
Best dining experience we had in our 3 days in Edinburgh. The mini breakfast is more than enough food already, but if you can handle more food, the full breakfast was amazing.
The staff and food are as wonderful as ever, and the decor has been updated (18 months ago but new for me) to provide a warm, welcoming environment. If you like your food straightforward and tasty, this is the place to come. I had a cheeseburger with chips. The chips are properly thick and chunky, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The burger was great too. You won't get anything fancy here, and thats the way I like it.
